28000 meters down and about 22000 to go (today).
1 hard week down. 1 hard week to come.
… as if it eases off after this week.
however, back to back, there are two exceptionally full weeks with 13 practices in 7 days. makes for a busy week, stockpiled loads of laundry, and heavy eyes.
did a sub-max, controlled 6k yesterday that went ok i think, considering the activities of my weekend. in other words, it was one of the times i let me training guard down and had a good time....

a lot has transpired in this holiday week, but tumblr was down at first and then my life was up and busy later.
-last weekend did a lactate test at GMS. things are back on track. i did not reach a lactate personal record, which if i dwell on it, is always disappointing since i only want to move forward. however, i’m in the right area again for the wattage i could pull at 4mm of lactic...
"bittersweet cacophony"
today had the start of a solid workout day. had to do my first tedious, hard workout on the erg, meaning over 90 minutes and at a tougher pace. i pulled 1:48 for 100 minutes. that’s ok. about what i did last year for this heart rate level. so it’s ok to be there for now, but will hopefully walk it down from there even by the end of December.

top of the mediocre morning to you
it’s raining. i did my lift this morning. was ok. have to get my heavy squat back up. i lifted decent weight in all exercises this morning, but i think it could’ve been improved. it lacked a bit of edge, and i think that could’ve correlated to the lack of bit-o-sleep. had a rough time getting my r.e.m. on last night.
tonight have a cross-training and a massage for my neck...
