haptic

feedback mostly on what i do on either side of 9-2-5 (ie rowing)

above you can see angela in the boat that she crossed the atlantic ocean in as well as a picture of my buddy’s parents, the rasers.

the rasers came down to watch the bay series and pay me a visit from the suburbs outside L.A.  welcomed company and refreshing personalities!  the rare times that socializing can fit seamlessly into training life are deceivingly beneficial.  i say deceivingly cause i often say no to socializing for the sake of my training.  makes life simpler and i can maintain the routine more easily.  however, you shouldn’t underestimate the importance of some levity and simple joy while training and having long days.

the other huge thing to note here is obviously the boat and angela’s achievement. she went across the atlantic ocean with one other guy, who did not speak any english.  her boat mate only spoke french, and she only spoke english.  they spent 60 something days voyaging across the atlantic without a support boat and occasionally drew pictures to communicate.
