feedback mostly on what i do on either side of 9-2-5 (ie rowing)

we had a great row this morning.  it was just a steady state row with even more of a technical, lower intensity emphasis.  we were executing drills well and had a solid consistent rhythm throughout the practice.  it was a solid enough row that as reilly coached us and i made calls the changes were not for fixing problematic things or recovering but rather tightening things up with subtle changes for more free speed.  you want a for instance?  well, a for instance.  the overall emphasis for the practice was clean finishes.  that means tapping down with your hands so the blades come out cleanly on the square and then feathering out the blades.  predominant drills were rowing on the square and pausing at the finish.  as a result, we had pretty clean finishes with tight puddles at the finish and good tap downs with the hands.  even so, reilly, the potomac coach, saw that we could still save a little more run by keeping a little more weight out of the bow at the finish.  this is done by sitting up more, keeping the shoulders horizontal all the way through the drive, and through good connection with the footboard even at the finish.  this call was for a very slight adjustment, but one that was good fine tuning for carrying over more speed at race pace.  a subtle change yet notable all the same.

also, had a solid lift at night, which was my first in a while due to my illness last week.
